About This Trail

Last Chance is a short 0.78-km cross-country ski trail within the Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club Trail Network. Located in the Possum Paradise area, it is a popular option for skiers looking to add one more run before heading back to the parking area. The trail forms part of an interconnected network of routes, offering opportunities to explore different loops and combinations.

Getting There

Directions

From Houston, travel south on Buck Flats Road for approximately 8 km to the Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club recreation area. Park near the day lodge and follow the official trail map and directional signs to find Last Chance within the network.

Parking

Parking is available at the designated Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club parking area near the day lodge. Use marked spaces and avoid blocking access roads or trail entrances.

Safety & Preparation

  • All trails in the network are two-way; yield to downhill traffic.
  • Stay in control and choose trails suited to your ability.
