About This Trail

Challenge is a cross-country ski trail within the Morice Mountain Nordic Ski Club Trail Network. Approximately 1.21 km long, it offers a slightly hillier alternative to the relatively flat Mainline trail. The route features gentle rolling terrain through the scenic forest, providing skiers with a little extra climbing and downhill variation while exploring the Nordic trail system. It is a good option for those looking to add variety to their regular ski outing.

Safety & Preparation

  • Check the latest grooming report and weather conditions before skiing.
  • Challenge has more hills than Mainline, so be prepared for uphill and downhill sections.
  • Maintain control and adjust your speed to the snow conditions.
  • Be aware that trails are used in both directions.
  • Yield appropriately to other skiers and give faster skiers room to pass.
  • Stay on designated ski trails and avoid walking or snowshoeing on groomed tracks.
  • Bring suitable winter clothing, water, and a charged cellphone.
  • Carry a trail map and let someone know your planned route.
