About This Trail

It features naturally gladed forest terrain, offering skiers an opportunity to enjoy tree skiing and fresh snow in a quiet mountain setting. The run is part of a lift-free, ungroomed ski network where visitors climb using designated uptracks before enjoying their descent.

Getting There

Directions

From Smithers, head north on Highway 16 and turn left onto Kitseguecla Loop Road. Cross the railway tracks and continue along Kitseguecla Lake Road. After approximately 8 km, turn left onto the 608 (Uptrack) Forest Service Road. Follow the road and Hankin-Evelyn signs to the designated Hankin parking area. From there, follow the marked uptracks and trail map to locate Run 6.

Parking

Parking is available at the designated Hankin parking lot. The access road can be snowy and icy during winter, so a four-wheel-drive vehicle with winter tires and chains is recommended. The upper section of Uptrack FSR is narrow and single-lane; descending traffic has the right of way. Trailers are not permitted.
