Getting There

Directions

From Smithers, travel north on Highway 16 for approximately 21 km and turn left onto Kitseguecla Lake Road. Cross the railway tracks and continue for approximately 8 km. Turn left onto the 608 Forest Service Road (Uptrack Road) and follow the Hankin-Evelyn signs for approximately 6 km to the designated parking area. From the parking lot, follow the marked uphill skin tracks and consult the official trail map to locate Run 8.

Parking

Parking is available at the designated Hankin-Evelyn Backcountry Recreation Area parking lot. The parking area provides access to the uphill tracks and surrounding ski runs. The access road is maintained during winter, but snow and icy conditions can make driving challenging. Four-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with winter tires and chains are recommended. The upper access road is narrow, and descending traffic has the right of way.
