Getting There

Directions

From Smithers, travel north on Highway 16 for approximately 21 km and turn left onto Kitseguecla Loop Road. Follow the road across the railway tracks onto Kitseguecla Lake Road. Continue for approximately 8 km, then turn left onto the signed Uptrack Forest Service Road (608 Road). Follow the Hankin-Evelyn signs to the designated parking lot. From the parking area, use the marked uphill skin tracks to access the ski runs. Consult the official trail map to locate Run 1.

Parking

Parking is available at the designated Hankin-Evelyn Backcountry Recreation Area parking lot. The parking area provides access to the uphill routes and backcountry ski network. The access road is maintained during winter, but snow and icy conditions can make driving challenging. Four-wheel drive vehicles equipped with winter tires and chains are recommended. Trailers are not permitted on the narrow upper section of the Uptrack Forest Service Road.
