  • Tree skiing: Look out for tree wells, hidden branches, stumps, rocks, and other obstacles beneath the snow.
  • Snow conditions: Be prepared for deep powder, icy sections, variable snowpack, and changing terrain conditions.
  • Travel with a partner: Avoid skiing alone and establish a communication and emergency plan.
  • Stay on designated routes: Follow marked uptracks and ski-run signage. Avoid entering closed or unfamiliar terrain.
  • Weather preparedness: Bring appropriate winter clothing, food, water, navigation equipment, and emergency supplies.
  • Know your ability: Choose terrain suitable for your skiing or snowboarding experience.
  • Emergency response: The area is not regularly patrolled, so visitors must be prepared to handle emergencies independently.
