About This Trail

Hey Bear! is a beginner-friendly, green-rated singletrack mountain-bike trail in the Terrace Mountain network. The trail winds through a moss-covered second-growth hemlock forest with gentle climbs, descents, and optional side features. It connects with Shangri-La and LaLa Valley.

Getting There

Directions

Access Hey Bear! from the Terrace Mountain trail network near Spring Creek. Follow the established trail system toward the Hey Bear!/LaLa Valley junction and follow posted directional signs.

Parking

Parking is available at the Spring Creek parking area. Keep access roads clear and park only in designated or suitable areas.

Safety & Preparation

  • The trail is generally beginner-friendly but still has uneven forest terrain and optional features.
  • The beginning includes a short two-way section; downhill riders must yield to uphill riders.
  • The remainder follows a one-direction route; follow posted signage.
  • Watch for hikers, runners, cyclists, and horseback riders on connecting trails.
  • Wet roots, soil, and other natural surfaces may become slippery.
  • Dogs are allowed; keep them controlled and follow local requirements.
  • Wear a helmet and appropriate protective equipment.
