About This Trail

Kitlope Crossing is a blue-rated, machine-groomed trail in the Onion Lake trail network near Terrace. It is primarily used for Nordic skiing during winter, with classic and skate-ski grooming. The trail is also suitable for hiking and trail running during snow-free conditions.

Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel south on Highway 37 toward the Onion Lake area. Enter the Onion Lake Cross Country Ski Trails and follow the established trail network toward Kitlope Crossing.

Parking

Parking is available at the established Onion Lake Cross Country Ski Trails access area. Use designated parking spaces and keep access roads and trail entrances clear.

  • The trail is rated Blue for Nordic skiing.
  • Winter conditions may include groomed classic and skate-ski tracks.
  • Watch for skiers, hikers, and runners, as the trail is used in both directions.
  • Wet, snowy, or icy conditions can make the surface slippery.
