About This Trail

Devil's Elbow is a forested trail within the Onion Lake trail network near Terrace. It is primarily used for Nordic skiing during winter and is machine-groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The trail is also used for hiking and trail running during snow-free conditions.

Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel south on Highway 37 toward the Onion Lake area. Enter the Onion Lake Cross Country Ski Trails and follow the established trail network toward Devil's Elbow.

Parking

Parking is available at the established Onion Lake Cross Country Ski Trails access area. Use designated parking spaces and keep access roads and trail entrances clear.

Safety & Preparation

  • The trail is rated Black Diamond for Nordic skiing.
  • Winter conditions may include snow and icy surfaces.
  • Watch for skiers and other trail users, as the trail is used in both directions.
  • Wet conditions can make natural surfaces slippery during snow-free seasons.
  • Wildlife may be present in the surrounding forest and wetland areas.
  • Follow posted signs and current seasonal-use or grooming information.
