About This Trail

Juniper is an easy, forested singletrack trail in the Onion Lake trail network near Terrace. It is used for Nordic skiing during winter and also supports hiking and trail running during snow-free conditions.

Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel south on Highway 37 toward the Onion Lake area. Enter the Onion Lake trail system and follow the established network toward the Juniper trail.

Parking

Parking is available at the established Onion Lake Cross Country Ski Trails access area. Use designated parking spaces and keep access roads and trail entrances clear.

Safety & Preparation

  • The trail is rated green and is generally suitable for beginner-level users.
  • Winter conditions may include groomed classic and skate-ski tracks.
  • Watch for skiers, hikers, and runners, as the trail is used in both directions.
  • Wet conditions may make roots and natural surfaces slippery.
  • Wildlife may be present in the surrounding forest.
  • Stay on established trails and follow posted seasonal-use and grooming information.
