Getting There

Directions

Access Terrace Mountain through the established trail network and follow the current trail map toward the Backeddy trails. Lower Backeddy connects with nearby trails including Upper Backeddy and other routes in the Flathead area.

Parking

Use established parking areas serving the Terrace Mountain network, including the Flathead-area parking. Do not block residential roads, gates, or access routes.

Safety & Preparation

  • Technical downhill singletrack; ride within your ability.
  • Expect roots, rocks, uneven terrain, and potentially slippery conditions when wet.
  • Trailforks reported Lower Backeddy as recently raked in April 2026, but conditions can change with weather and use.
  • Pre-ride technical sections and watch for changing trail conditions.
  • Watch for hikers, runners, cyclists, and other trail users on shared routes.
  • Use appropriate mountain-bike protective equipment.
  • Carry an offline map, repair equipment, water, and emergency supplies.
  • Cell coverage may be limited in parts of the network.
  • Be alert for wildlife, including bears.
