About This Trail

An easy forest trail leading to Arrowhead Lake near Port Edward. The route travels through coastal forest to a small, secluded lake and is generally well marked. The trail can become overgrown near the beginning and boggy after periods of rain.

Getting There

Directions

From Port Edward, travel toward the Port Edward Substation. The trail begins just past the gate to the substation, with a trail sign on the left. Follow the marked trail through the forest toward Arrowhead Lake.

Parking

Limited parking is available near the trail access. Park only where permitted and do not obstruct the substation entrance, access road, or nearby industrial facilities.

Safety & Preparation

The trail is generally easy but may be wet, muddy, or boggy after rain. The beginning of the trail can be overgrown. Stay on the marked route and be aware of industrial infrastructure near the trailhead. Wildlife, including bears, may be present. Carry bear-safety equipment and check local conditions before starting.
