About This Trail

Lambert Falls is a hidden gem near Hazelton in Northern BC, following a short but steep trail through old-growth forest to a dramatic waterfall on a tributary of the Skeena River. The route passes through birch-poplar forest, crosses a suspension bridge over a scenic ravine, and arrives at a viewpoint overlooking the falls. The lush riparian environment supports diverse bird and plant life. Located on the traditional territory of the Gitxsan Nation.

Getting There

Directions

From New Hazelton on Highway 16, head toward the village of Hazelton. The trail access is along the secondary road network near the Skeena River. Local signage can be limited download an offline map before departing. The trail is approximately 15 km from the Highway 16/Highway 62 junction.

Parking

A small informal pullout near the trailhead accommodates 3–4 vehicles. No formal parking infrastructure. Arrive early during peak summer season to secure a spot.

Safety & Preparation

The suspension bridge crossing requires single-file passage — do not overload it. Trail becomes very slippery near the waterfall viewpoint when wet. The creek crossing can be hazardous during spring runoff or after heavy rain. Wear waterproof footwear.
