Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel north on the Nisga'a Highway toward Rosswood. The trail entrance is on the right side of the highway, approximately 2 km past the Terrace Viewpoint. Look for the Maroon Mountain trail access and follow the access road toward the trailhead. The entrance can be easy to miss, so an offline map is recommended.

Parking

Limited parking is available near the trail access. Park only in established or safe pullout areas and ensure the access road remains clear for other vehicles.

Safety & Preparation

This is a hard and very steep backcountry hike. The lower section involves sustained climbing, while higher elevations can have snow and colder conditions even during summer. Bring sturdy footwear, hiking poles, extra layers and sufficient water. Bugs can be heavy during warmer months, and bear awareness is important. Cell service may be limited, so carry an offline map and emergency supplies.
