Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel west on Highway 16 toward Prince Rupert and follow the signed access road to Shames Mountain. Continue to the main ski-area base and lodge. Upper Boundary Trail is accessed from the ski-area lift and trail network rather than from a separate hiking trailhead.

Parking

Parking is available at the main Shames Mountain base area near the lodge. Use designated parking areas and follow any seasonal instructions from ski-area staff.

Safety & Preparation

Upper Boundary Trail is rated More Difficult and should be used by skiers and snowboarders with appropriate ability. Snow conditions, visibility and weather can change quickly. Stay on designated open terrain, obey posted signs and closures, and maintain control around other users. The ski-area boundary includes unpatrolled areas, so do not cross marked boundaries or enter closed terrain. Follow Shames Mountain's current uphill-access and safety policies when applicable.
