About This Trail

Lower Boundary Trail is an easy beginner ski run at Shames Mountain Ski Area near Terrace. It follows the lower portion of the ski area through forested terrain and provides a quieter route compared with some of the main runs. It is primarily used for skiing during the operating season.

Getting There

Directions

From Terrace, travel west on Highway 16 toward Prince Rupert and follow the signs for Shames Mountain. Continue along the access road to the main ski area and base facilities. Lower Boundary Trail is located within the lower portion of the ski area and is accessed from the ski-run network.

Parking

Parking is available at the main Shames Mountain base area. Use designated parking spaces and follow any seasonal instructions or directions from ski-area staff.

Safety & Preparation

Lower Boundary Trail is designated as beginner terrain, but conditions can change quickly with snow, ice and visibility. Follow all posted signs and ski-area rules, stay within open terrain, and give other skiers and snowboarders plenty of space. The ski-area boundary is not patrolled, so do not cross marked boundaries or enter closed areas.
