About This Trail

An easy recreational loop in the Terrace Mountain trail network combining the multi-use La La Valley trail with the Hey Bear loop. The route passes through forested terrain with gentle climbing on La La Valley, while Hey Bear features a moss-covered second-growth hemlock forest with flowing sections, roots, and rocks. La La Valley is a bi-directional, multi-use trail used by hikers, mountain bikers, trail runners, and horseback riders.

Getting There

Directions

Access the route from the Spring Creek access road parking area near Terrace. Follow the Spring Creek access road to the La La Valley junction, then continue along La La Valley toward the Hey Bear trail loop. Follow current trail signage or an offline trail map at junctions.

Parking

Parking is available at the Spring Creek access road area, but spaces are limited. Carpooling is recommended when possible.

Safety & Preparation

  • La La Valley is bi-directional and multi-use; watch for hikers, cyclists, runners, and horseback riders.
  • Hey Bear has roots, rocks, and moderately technical sections.
  • Use extra caution around cyclists, particularly on descents.
  • Expect uneven or muddy conditions after rain.
  • Be bear aware and carry appropriate wildlife precautions.
  • Keep dogs under control and yield appropriately to other trail users.
