About This Trail

Spring Creek and La La Valley is an easy recreational route in the Terrace Mountain trail network. The route follows Spring Creek before connecting to La La Valley, passing through forested terrain with gentle climbing and natural surroundings. La La Valley is a multi-use trail used by hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and trail runners.

Getting There

Directions

Access the route from the Spring Creek parking area near Terrace. Follow the Spring Creek trail and look for the marked junction leading onto La La Valley. Continue along La La Valley and follow the trail signs or current trail map for the desired route. The Spring Creek access road is also used for events and provides access to the surrounding Terrace Mountain trail network. 

Parking

Parking is available at the Spring Creek access area, although spaces are limited. Carpooling is recommended when possible, particularly during busy periods or events. 

Safety & Preparation

  • The route is generally easy, but some sections include climbing and uneven forest terrain.
  • La La Valley is a multi-use, two-way trail; watch for hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, and runners.
  • Mountain bikers may travel quickly on descents, so stay alert around blind corners and junctions.
  • Roots, rocks, mud, and slippery surfaces may be present, especially after rain.
  • Bears and other wildlife may be present; practice proper bear safety.
  • Carry an offline map or GPS because the area contains numerous interconnected trails.
  • Follow current trail-condition notices and respect temporary closures.
