About This Trail

The Millennium Trail, is an easy, paved multi-use pathway connecting Terrace with the Kitsumkalum community. The trail follows the Highway 16 corridor and provides a convenient route for walking, running, cycling, and mobility-aid users. Interpretive features along the route highlight the history and culture of the area.

Getting There

Directions

The Terrace end of the trail begins near Eby Street and Highway 16, beside the Kwinitsa Foreman's Residence and Chill ice cream shop. From there, follow the paved pathway west toward Kitsumkalum. 

Parking

Parking is available at access points around Eby Street and the surrounding downtown Terrace area. Additional parking may be available near connected trail and park areas. Use designated parking spaces and avoid blocking residential or business access.

  • The trail is generally easy and family-friendly.
  • Watch for cyclists, runners, pedestrians, and other pathway users.
  • Use extra caution when crossing streets or accessing the trail from roadways.
  • The pathway can become wet, icy, or slippery during poor weather and winter conditions.
  • Stay on the designated pathway and respect nearby private and community property.
  • Keep dogs under control and clean up after them.
  • Be aware of wildlife in forested sections, including the possibility of bears.
  • Follow posted signs and any temporary closures or construction notices.
