Getting There

Directions

Access the loop from the Terrace Mountain trail network. A main access point is the Terrace Mountain Hiking and Biking Trail area on Walsh Avenue. Follow the signed trail network toward Flathead and use the current MTB map to navigate the connecting trails. 

Parking

Parking is available at established Terrace Mountain trail access areas. The Walsh Avenue / Terrace Mountain access provides a convenient starting point. Park only in designated or appropriate areas and keep roads and access routes clear.

Safety & Preparation

  • This is a moderately challenging MTB route with technical climbs and descents.
  • Expect roots, rocks, granite slabs, and uneven terrain.
  • Be prepared for steep or technical sections, particularly on the Flathead trail.
  • The network is shared with other cyclists and hikers; watch for users approaching from either direction.
  • Wet conditions can make roots and rock surfaces slippery.
  • Carry water, basic repair equipment, and offline navigation.
  • Bears and other wildlife may be present in the surrounding forest.
  • Check current trail conditions before riding, particularly after heavy rain or during winter conditions.
