Getting There

Directions

Access Dadook Connector from the Dadook Avenue area in Kitimat. The trail connects into the Skeletor riding network, so riders can use it to reach the other trails in the area. The exact entrance can be difficult to identify; a recent Trailforks report specifically described Dadook Connector as hard to find, so using an offline trail map or GPS track is recommended.

Parking

There is no clearly identified dedicated parking lot directly at Dadook Connector. Use permitted parking in the surrounding Dadook Avenue/Skeletor area and ensure that residential driveways, streets, and access routes remain clear.

Safety & Preparation

  • The Skeletor riding area is unsanctioned and is listed as ride at your own risk.
  • The connector itself is short, but it provides access to trails with significantly more difficult terrain.
  • The trail entrance can be difficult to locate, so bring offline maps or GPS navigation.
  • Expect roots, rocks, mud, and changing trail conditions.
  • Watch for mountain bikers travelling at speed on connecting trails.
  • Be alert for wildlife, including bears, in the surrounding forest.
  • Wear a helmet and appropriate footwear/protective equipment.
