About This Trail

Son of a Trickster is a short, downhill-only mountain-bike trail in Kitimat’s Haisla Hill trail network. The machine-groomed trail is rated Blue (Intermediate) and features berms and jumps, making it suited to riders with good bike control and some experience on technical singletrack.

Getting There

Directions

Access Son of a Trickster through the Haisla Hill trail network in Kitimat. The trail is located near Lower Eagles Nest, Haisla Braves, and Trickster. Follow the local trail network and mapped junctions to reach the start of the downhill route. 

Parking

Use the established parking areas serving the Haisla Hill/Kitimat mountain-bike trail network. Avoid parking at trail entrances or blocking residential and access roads.

Safety & Preparation

  1. Downhill only — do not ride against the designated direction.
  2. Rated Blue/Intermediate with berms and jumps; ride within your ability.
  3. Wear a helmet and appropriate mountain-bike protective equipment.
  4. Watch for other riders, particularly when approaching jumps, berms, and trail junctions.
  5. Wet conditions can make dirt, roots, and wooden features slippery.
  6. Dogs are permitted, but keep them controlled and follow local trail rules.
  7. Wildlife, including bears, may be present in the surrounding forest.
