About This Trail

Trickster is an intermediate mountain-bike trail within Kitimat’s Haisla Hill trail system. The trail features forested singletrack with technical sections suited to riders with some mountain-biking experience.

Getting There

Directions

Access the Haisla Hill mountain-bike trail system from the Coghlan Park area. Follow the signed trail network toward Haisla Hill and use the mapped connections to reach Trickster. The trail connects with nearby mountain-bike routes including Lower Eagles Nest and Haisla Braves. 

Parking

Parking is available around the Coghlan Park/Haisla Hill trail-system access. Use designated parking areas and avoid blocking residential streets, trail entrances, or access roads.

Safety & Preparation

  • Intended primarily for mountain biking; watch for other riders and trail users.
  • The trail is rated Intermediate, so some riding experience and bike control are recommended.
  • Roots, rocks, uneven surfaces, and technical features may become slippery when wet.
  • Wear an approved helmet and appropriate protective equipment.
  • Follow posted trail signs and respect trail closures or maintenance areas.
  • Wildlife, including bears, may be present in the surrounding forest.
  • Ride within your ability and be prepared to stop for approaching riders.
