Getting There

Directions

From Highway 37, follow Kitamaat Village Road for approximately 2.3 km. After crossing Cordella Creek Bridge, turn left into the gravel pit. Continue uphill/right along the access road for approximately 0.7 km to the Robinson Lake trailhead. Current Kitimat trail information also describes access via the South Hirsch/Wathl Main forestry roads, so road conditions and access should be checked before visiting.

Parking

Parking is available along the road near the Robinson Lake trailhead. The current Kitimat guide identifies parking just past the trailhead. Space may be limited, so park safely without blocking the forestry road or access for industrial vehicles.

Safety & Preparation

  • The trail can become extremely wet and muddy, particularly during the final section approaching Robinson Lake.
  • Forestry roads in the area have industrial and logging traffic; drive cautiously and watch for other vehicles.
  • Be prepared for changing weather, wet terrain, and uneven trail conditions.
  • Bears and other wildlife may be present. Keep food properly stored and never approach or feed wildlife.
  • Bring suitable hiking footwear, water, navigation equipment, and emergency supplies.
