Getting There

Directions

From Kitimat, travel along Highway 37 toward the Humphrey Creek area. Access to the falls is associated with the Lower Dyke Road / Kitimat River area. A trail route recorded from the Lower Dyke leads toward Humphrey Creek and the falls. 

Parking

Parking is informal near the access area. Use an established pullout where available and ensure your vehicle does not block the road, forestry access, or other users.

Safety & Preparation

  • This is a natural and relatively undeveloped waterfall area, so expect uneven and potentially muddy terrain.
  • Rocks and surfaces around the creek can be very slippery when wet.
  • Stay well away from steep banks and fast-moving water.
  • Water levels can rise quickly after heavy rainfall or during snowmelt.
  • Be bear aware and secure all food and garbage.
  • Cell service may be limited in more remote sections.
  • Wear sturdy footwear and bring rain protection.
  • Carry navigation equipment and basic emergency supplies.
  • Check current road and access conditions before visiting.
