About This Trail

Joe's Trail is a scenic forest and riverside trail along the eastern bank of the Kitimat River. The route passes through mature old-growth forest before following the river toward Lower Dyke Road. Sections of the trail include a dirt path and boardwalks, providing a peaceful setting for walking, nature viewing, and enjoying the Kitimat River. The trail forms a wide loop when combined with the dyke road.

Directions

From Highway 37, follow Haisla Boulevard to the third traffic light and turn left onto Kuldo Boulevard. Turn right onto Columbia Avenue and continue until the road ends at the dyke. Turn right, then take the first left and continue approximately 1 km toward the Kitimat River.
