About This Trail

Maggie's Point Trail is a short, easy hike near Kitimat, making it a good option for a quick outdoor walk without a long or strenuous climb. Getting There

Directions

From Kitimat, follow the local road network toward the Maggie's Point Trail access. Use a current trail map or GPS navigation to identify the trailhead, as access roads and trail approaches in the Kitimat area can change.

Parking

Parking is expected to be informal near the trail access. Use an established pullout or designated parking area where available. Do not block roads, driveways, gates, or access routes.

Safety & Preparation

  • Although the trail is rated easy, expect typical coastal-forest conditions such as roots, mud, wet ground, and slippery surfaces.
  • Wear footwear with good traction, particularly after rainfall.
  • Be aware of black bears and other wildlife in the Kitimat area.
  • Carry bear spray where appropriate and make noise when travelling through dense vegetation.
  • Stay on the established trail and avoid entering private or restricted areas.
  • Weather can change quickly, so bring rain protection.
  • Cell service may be unreliable in some areas around Kitimat.
