Getting There

Directions

The Rotary Waterfront Walkway begins at Rotary Waterfront Park near the Kwinitsa Railway Station Museum. From the park, follow the waterfront walkway north along the shoreline toward Cow Bay. The route forms part of Prince Rupert's Millennium Walkway, connecting Rotary Waterfront Park with the cruise terminal and Cow Bay.

The Rotary Waterfront Walkway itself is a short, easy waterfront walk, while the larger Millennium Walkway provides a longer walking option along the harbour.

Parking

Parking is available in the downtown and waterfront areas near Rotary Waterfront Park, with additional parking options around Cow Bay and the Marina District. Parking regulations and time limits vary, so use designated parking spaces and check posted signs before leaving your vehicle.

The City is also continuing improvements to parking and access around the waterfront, so visitors should follow any temporary signs or restrictions in place. 

Safety & Preparation

This is an easy waterfront walking route, suitable for a relaxed walk and sightseeing.

Watch for wet or slippery surfaces, particularly after rain.

Stay on the designated pedestrian walkway and be aware of cyclists and other pedestrians.

Parts of the route pass near active waterfront, railway, cruise-terminal, and industrial areas; obey all warning signs and restricted-area markings.

Use extra caution near the water's edge, docks, and harbour facilities.

Bring rain protection, as Prince Rupert has a mild, wet coastal climate.
