The Moresby Trail is an easy approximately 1.6 km loop that takes around 30 minutes to complete.
Some sections include stairs and bridge crossings, while other portions are relatively flat and accessible.
Parts of the trail can be narrow, muddy, or slippery, particularly during Prince Rupert's frequent wet weather.
Use extra caution around the pond, bridges, and fish-ladder area.
Wildlife such as birds and other animals may be encountered around Moresby Pond.
During current or future construction around the 2nd Avenue Bridge, follow all barricades and posted detours. The City has previously restricted access to sections beneath the bridge because of overhead construction hazards.
Avoid using restricted railway or construction areas; follow official signs and designated pedestrian routes.
Bring rain gear and footwear suitable for wet conditions. Prince Rupert is known for frequent rainfall and rapidly changing weather.
