⚠️ Terrain
Some portions of the trail contain short steep sections, particularly around the viewpoints and access to the geological features.
⚠️ Overgrowth
Trail users have reported overgrown sections, so long pants and appropriate footwear can be useful during the summer and fall.
⚠️ Bugs
Mosquitoes and other insects can be an issue, particularly during warmer months. Bug spray is recommended.
⚠️ Forest-road access
The route to the recreation site includes unpaved forest/recreation roads. Road conditions can deteriorate following heavy rain, snow, or spring thaw.
⚠️ Rocks and geological features
The opal/agate beds involve natural rock outcrops and uneven terrain. Visitors should exercise care when climbing or examining exposed rocks.
