Tower Trail

The Tower Trail is a scenic point-to-point ATV and dirt bike route in the mountains southeast of Houston, BC, climbing through boreal forest and subalpine terrain to a high-elevation ridge with sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. Starting at around 910 m elevation, the trail gains 240 m as it winds eastward along the ridge, reaching a high point of 1,124 m. The route takes its name from a communications or fire lookout tower visible from the upper sections. The trail follows a mix of old forestry roads and single-track ATV paths through dense spruce and fir forest, with the tree cover thinning at higher elevations to reveal open rocky terrain and mountain vistas. A shuttle vehicle at the endpoint makes this a straightforward one-way ride, though it can also be run as an out-and-back. Best conditions from July through September.
