About This Trail

Run Bike Connector is exactly what it sounds like — a short, flat access segment that bridges the gap between the running and biking trails at the base of Mount Harry Davis. At just 38 m long with a near-zero -1.3% grade and barely 1 m of elevation change, it's the smallest trail in the network and not a destination in its own right. Rated as an access trail or doubletrack, and listed as suitable for gravel bikes in addition to mountain bikes, it functions as a functional link that keeps trail users moving between the Escalator, Sapling, and Evergreen loop without having to touch the road. Only one ride logged since it was added — but that's the nature of connectors. It's the kind of trail you use without thinking about it, and that's the whole point.

Leave No Trace

Getting There

Directions

From Houston, BC, head south on Butler Avenue and turn onto Harry Davis Way toward Mount Harry Davis. Run Bike Connector sits at approximately 911 m (2,989 ft) elevation at the base of the trail network, very close to the lower trailhead parking lot. It is encountered naturally while navigating between the lower loop trails — follow the network signage from the lot and you'll cross it as part of the Escalator / Sapling / Evergreen loop.

Parking

Park at the lower Mount Harry Davis trailhead lot off Harry Davis Way. Run Bike Connector is immediately accessible from the lot as part of the base network. No parking fees apply. The lot is unpaved gravel with limited space — arrive early on busy weekends. This lot serves as the staging area for all lower-mountain trails including We Bit Uppity, Escalator, Sapling, and Evergreen.

Safety & Preparation

Access trail — not a standalone destination. Run Bike Connector is a short link segment. Familiarise yourself with the full lower network map before heading out so you know where it deposits you and how it connects to the surrounding trails.

Multi-use path. Open to mountain bikes, gravel bikes, trail runners, hikers, and snowshoers. The short length and flat grade mean user interactions happen quickly — yield to other users and pass carefully.

All-season use. The trail is usable year-round but can be muddy or icy in shoulder seasons. Conditions reported as ideal as recently as May 2026 — check Trailforks for the latest.

Wildlife: Even at the base of the mountain, this is bear country. Stay alert and make noise, particularly in early morning and evening hours.

Helmets required for all riders.

Indigenous territory: This trail sits on the traditional lands of the Wet'suwet'en Yintikh, Takla, and Dënéndeh peoples. Ride respectfully.
