Getting There

Directions

To reach Soul Stripper, travel from Smithers toward The Bluff recreation area via Highway 16 and follow access roads into the Hudson Bay Mountain trail network. From the main Bluff parking area, ride up Bluff Road or connecting climb trails into the upper trail system. The trail is accessed through upper Bluff junctions and is often linked with other advanced routes such as Back in Black, Four Horsemen, and Meanstreak.

Parking

Parking is available at the main Bluff recreation area parking lot near the base of the trail system. Additional roadside pullouts may exist, but vehicles must not block gates, logging roads, or emergency access routes. Parking can be limited during weekends and peak riding season.

Safety & Preparation

Soul Stripper contains steep and technical terrain with roots, rocks, and drops that require advanced riding skills. The trail can be slippery in wet conditions and may have limited visibility due to dense forest. Riders should be prepared for sudden terrain changes and maintain full control throughout the descent. Protective gear, including a helmet, is strongly recommended, and full-face helmets and pads are advisable. This trail is not suitable for beginner or intermediate riders.
